ITINERARY:
At 7:30 AM, depart for Cai Be via Trung Luong Expressway by van/bus. Upon arrival, take a boat ride to the site of a renowned wholesale floating market that existed many years ago on the Tien River. This will provide insight into the local trading habits that have changed due to modern transportation and agriculture techniques dominating the area. Experience the diversity and richness of the orchard gardens, which make the Mekong River's lower part the basket of fruit.
Explore small villages to discover the beauty of ancient houses and indigenous culture. Visit a small family business where locals make coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn. Enjoy fresh fruit and listen to Southern Vietnamese folk music, entwined with the life and culture of the Mekong Delta people. Paddle through small canals for an exciting experience and soak up the wonderful atmosphere of the Upper Mekong Delta. Upon arrival on Tan Phong Island, immerse yourself in nature's tranquility.
During lunch, not only enjoy delicious food but also learn how to prepare Vietnamese specialties. The meal is cooked by yourself and served in the heart of a local garden, providing a chance to get closer to the locals.
Cycle on village paths through orchards and meet local islanders to learn about daily life in the Mekong Delta. Visit Ba Kiệt’s ancient house.
Finally, take a boat ride back to Cai Be and meet your bus for the return trip to Ho Chi Minh City, ending your trip.
